The final results from the 2011 Grand Prix Invitational as well as the statistics for the complete 2011 Pro Tour season are now available on the Web site.

Dani McClay of Silver Spring, Maryland, was awarded the 2011 WNDA Rookie of the Year award. McClay put in an impressive performance, having a ladder appearance and being the High Qualifer at one event.

Susan Phillips was named the 2011 WNDA Bowler of the Year. This award caps off a terrific season that included 2 Pro Tour victories and two times as High Qualifier.

Jackie Adams Wins at 2011 Grand Prix Invitational

Jackie Adams of Frederick, Maryland, emerged as the winner from this weekend's Grand Prix Invitational event at AMF Timonium. Winning her division, Adams was seeded second on the final ladder.

(Left-right) Kristy Penny, Jackie Adams, Kristen Robustelli, Cindy McMillenThe first match was between wild-card Cindy McMillen of Columbia, Maryland and third-seeded Kristen Robustelli of Connecticut. Without many good breaks going her way, McMillen fell to Robustelli 106-161. Robustelli advanced to her match with Adams. In a game closer than the score shows, Adams outscored Robustelli, 129-106. Now, Adams was to square off against top-seeded Kristy Penny. Adams was ready and primed for the game, which showed with her winning score of 174 to Penny's 136.

This is Adam's third WNDA Pro Tour victory and capped off an event where she was also presented with the Theresa Belniak Service Award.

Qualifying Round at 2011 Grand Prix Invitational

High qualifier is Susan Phillips with 1199. She is followed by Connie Ward and Kristi Lampman. All three are in tight contention for the 2011 Bowler of the Year Award!

The scratch cut (15th) is 1078. The cut for pins-over-average is +77. The alternate is Janet Sauter with a score of 1075.

Bowlers must be checked in by 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM start.

2011 WNDA Members Meeting Reminder

The 2011 All-Members meeting wil be held at 1:30 at AMF Timonium on Saturday, November 5. There will be food and refreshments. This is an important meeting for everyone in the WNDA, as every annual meeting is. Please make every possible effort to attend.

Also, we will be having a ticket-auction fundraiser. The theme for this year is "The Holidays", although there will be many different types of items available. Stop in, buy some tickets for the items you like, and help to support the WNDA!
