Qualifying Round at 2011 Grand Prix Invitational

High qualifier is Susan Phillips with 1199. She is followed by Connie Ward and Kristi Lampman. All three are in tight contention for the 2011 Bowler of the Year Award!

The scratch cut (15th) is 1078. The cut for pins-over-average is +77. The alternate is Janet Sauter with a score of 1075.

Bowlers must be checked in by 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM start.

Susan Phillips Wins Again!

Susan Phillips repeated her recent championship performance at Town Hall by winning her second consecutive event at Pinland Bowl on September 4. Top-seeded after the semi-final round, Susan faced Canadian, Connie Ward in the final game. After opening the first frame and Connie starting with a spare, Phillips responded by throwing a 3-strike triple-header, broke 9 and made the spare, then followed with another strike.

Susan Phillips and husbandBy the 7th frame, she had a commanding lead over Ward, 134+ to 100+. She never looked back nor let up and finished with a tremedous 193 game. This is Susan's 3rd career win, the fitst coming almost 24 years ago.

Now that Hurricane Irene has passed, we can again focus on the upcoming Pro Tour at Pinland Bowling Lanes in Dundalk, Maryland. Grand Prix Event Venue Announced

The WNDA and AMF are proud to announce that the final event of the Pro Tour season, the 2011 Grand Prix, will be hosted by AMF Timonium. The event will be on the scheduled dates of November 5-6.

More details on the shift times and the all-member meeting will be posted in the coming days.

Phillips Earns 2nd Star at Town Hall

The WNDA event at Town Hall concluded on Sunday with Susan Phillips outscoring Stacey Gaegler to earn her second pro tour victory and another star. It was also notable for an appearance by April Loteczka, who entered the tournament through the WNDA Adopt-A-Bowler program.
